Award-winning cardiologist Dr. Padmavati passes and founding director of the National Heart Institute passes away
Prominent cardiologist and founding director of the National Heart Institute in Delhi Padmavati Sivaramakrishna Iyer passed away.
She was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1967 and the Padma Vibhushan in 1992.
She was also the recipient of the Harvard Medical International Award, Dr. B.C. Roy Award and Kamla Menon Research Award and remained active till almost the very end, advising patients and physicians.
