6th BRICS Environment Ministers’ Meeting held virtually.

Russia chaired the 6th BRICS Environment Ministers’ Meeting. The Environment Ministers of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa participated in the meeting held via the video conference. Union Environment Minister, Shri Prakash Javadekar represented India in the BRICS Environment Ministers’ Meet. India will host the next meeting in 2021.

Reliance Power and Japanese energy major JERA signs loan agreement for Bangladesh’s power plant.

Reliance Power and Japanese energy major JERA have signed an agreement with a group of banks for their new gas-fired thermal power generation project in Bangladesh. According to the agreement, $642 million finance will be provided for the

new 745 MW natural gas combined-cycle power project in Meghnaghat in Bangladesh.

Small Industries Development Bank of India and TransUnion CIBIL launched a one-stop knowledge portal named  “MSMESaksham”.

MSMESaksham is a comprehensive financial education and knowledge platform for MSMEs and will support them in managing their credit obligations. It will provide MSMEs quick access to finance and empower them by making them financially aware and loan-ready so that timely and affordable financial support is realized.

Telangana government has rolled out mobile COVID-19 testing centers in containment zones and low-income group residential areas across the state. Buses are built with ‘Intelligent Monitoring Analysis Services Quarantine’ (iMASQ) technology by Hyderabad-based Vera Smart Healthcare.
