Delhi government launches portal “Rozgar Bazar”

Delhi government has launched the portal named as “Rozgar Bazar”, a sort of marketplace for job seekers and the people recruiters. The recruiters can visit the website and update their requirements, similarly job seekers are also required to visit the portal and update their qualification, experience and requirement.This portal will fill the gap by bringing them together on one platform.The “Rozgar Bazar” portal is an effort to revive the lockdown-hit economy of Delhi.

Bureau of Indian Standard’s Mobile App ‘BIS-Care’ launched by the Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution Shri Ram Vilas Paswan.

The BIS Care app will help the consumers in checking the authenticity of the ISI-marked and hallmarked products as well as lodging complaints.The minister also launched three portals i.e. the Standardization, Conformity Assessment and Training Portals of e-BIS for consumers.E-BIS is an integrated portal which covers all the functions of BIS.

World Health Organization observes 28th July every year as “World Hepatitis Day”.

Theme of this year is “Hepatitis-free future”

The date has been chosen because it is the birthday of Nobel-prize winning scientist Dr Baruch Blumberg, who discovered the hepatitis B virus (HBV) and developed a diagnostic test and vaccine for the virus.

‘Mausam’ app for weather forecasts launched by Dr Harsh Vardhan.

Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Dr Harsh Vardhan has launched the mobile app “Mausam” for weather forecasts. This app is launched on the occasion of the 14th foundation day of Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES).

About Mausam app

The mobile-based application will provide weather forecasts, nowcast and warning for various cities and locations.

It will also provide information on current weather with temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction for around 200 cities.

The information on the app will be updated 8 times a day

It will also provide the weather forecast for the next 7 days and the information of the past 24 hours for around 450 cities in India.

The contest was launched on the 5th death anniversary of former President and noted scientist Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. ‘Dare to Dream 2.0’ has been launched as an open challenge to promote the innovators and startups of the country.The winners would be awarded with prize money of up to Rs 10 lakh for startup and Rs 5 lakh to individual category.
