Unnat Bharat Abhiyan-Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (UBA-IITD) and Vijnana Bharti (VIBHA), New Delhi has signed a tripartite MoU with CSIR.The signed MoU will offer access to CSIR rural technologies for UBA

Unlock 3 guidelines released by Ministry of Home Affairs

Ministry of Home Affairs has released the Unlock-3 guidelines which will be valid from 1st August to 31st August 2020.The new guidelines seeks to re-open more activities in areas outside the Containment zones and to extend the lockdown in containment zones upto 31st August 2020.

As per the Unlock-3 guidelines,Only essential activities will be allowed in the containment zones and lockdown will continue to remain in force in the containment zones till 31st August 2020.

HRD Ministry will be renamed as Ministry of Education.

Ministry of Human Resource Development has been renamed as Ministry of Education. The Union Cabinet has approved the change in the name of the ministry. The HRD Ministry is currently headed by Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank.

Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved USD 3 million grant to India from its Asia Pacific Disaster Response Fund to further support the government”s emergency response to COVID-19 pandemic.

Guwahati becomes 3rd city to get manhole cleaning robot ‘BANDICOOT’

Guwahati has  becomes 3rd city in India to get manhole cleaning robot ‘BANDICOOT’.The robot ensures minimal human involvement to clean the sewers.'BANDICOOT' is an automatic sewer cleaning robot has been procured by the Guwahati Municipal.The Robot is developed by Genrobotics under the Make in India initiative, funded by CSR of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL).


World Day Against Trafficking in Persons observed on 30th July

UN (United Nations) observes 30 July every year as World Day Against Trafficking in Persons. 

The 2020 theme for the World Day Against Trafficking: “Committed to the Cause – Working on the Frontline to End Human Trafficking”.The theme will focus on the first responders to human trafficking. These are the people who work in different sectors – identifying, supporting, counselling and seeking justice for victims of trafficking, and challenging the impunity of the traffickers.
